Day by day
Days 1-2
Across the Pacific to Vanua Levu
We left Los Angeles late and let the International Date Line swallow a whole day, waking to the green hills and turquoise water of Fiji. A short hop to Savusavu brought us to our secluded base on the north coast, and the moment those first warm 'Bula!' greetings landed, the rest of the world fell away.
Days 3-7
Boundless days of diving, reef & culture
This was the heart of it: unhurried mornings, vibrant reef diving in some of the South Pacific's richest water, and afternoons given over to whatever felt right, spa, snorkeling, or simply the view from a private bure. Evenings meant inventive Indo-Fijian cuisine and the kind of genuine, joyful Fijian hospitality you carry home with you.
Days 8-9
A final Fijian farewell
We savored one last evening in paradise before the long journey home, tanned, rested, and already plotting our return. Some places simply get under your skin, and the north coast of Fiji is at the top of that list.
