SXT app
How we keep trip chat and shared photos safe for everyone on the trip.
The SXT app is for travelers who are confirmed on an SXT trip, and for SXT staff. Only confirmed travelers on a trip and SXT staff can post in that trip’s group chat or add photos to its shared album. There is no public feed and no way for someone outside the trip to join it. The app is for adults 18 and over.
Messages you send to the group and photos you add to the shared album show your name to everyone on the trip. Private threads are between you and SXT staff. SXT staff can read everything in the app, including private threads.
A trip group is a small group of people who are traveling together, often in close quarters. Write to the group the way you would speak to someone standing next to you on the boat.
Do not post any of the following in group chat, in a private thread, or in photos.
Do not post passports, medical records, booking confirmations, or payment details in group chat or in photos, whether they are yours or someone else’s. Everyone on the trip can see what you post to the group.
If you need to send your trip team a document or a personal detail, use a private thread with staff, or email hello@sxtadventures.com. Staff may remove sensitive documents and details from group chat and from the shared album.
Only post photos and messages you have the right to share. By posting them you allow SXT to show them to your trip group and staff in the app, and to keep them as part of the trip record until they are removed.
Do not post photos of people who asked not to be shown. Staff may remove anything that breaks these rules.
To report a message, a photo, or a traveler, email hello@sxtadventures.com with the trip name, what happened, and a screenshot if it is safe to send one. You can also raise it in a private thread with your trip team.
If your version of the app includes a Report option, you can also use that.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
If your version of the app includes Block, blocked travelers’ group messages and photos are hidden from you. Blocking does not hide trip announcements from staff, and staff can still reach you.
Staff review what is reported and decide what to do. Depending on what happened, that can be any of the following.
Removing someone from a trip is a booking decision as well as an app decision, so the terms apply to it.
These guidelines cover conduct in the app. Booking, payment, and cancellation are covered by our terms. What the app collects and who can see it is covered by our privacy policy, and app support covers signing in, notifications, and offline use.
