What this covers

SXT is the trip companion app for travelers booked on a trip with SXT Adventures. Use this page to ask us to delete your app access and the data the app holds about you. You can send a request whether or not you still have the app installed.

A request covers your companion app access and your app data:

• Your sign-in sessions and any devices registered for notifications.
• Your notification preferences and the record of what you have read.
• Private messages between you and SXT staff.
• Photos and captions you posted, and your name on posts you made to a group.
• Personal documents that were shared to you in the app.

You can also ask us to delete all personal data we hold about you, not only your app data. The form below lets you choose. Travelers can also start a request from inside the app, if your version of the app includes it.

What may be kept

Some records stay with us after a deletion request, because we need them to run the business and to protect other people:

• Booking, payment, invoice, signed contract and travel records, which we keep for accounting, tax, dispute and safety purposes.
• Messages and photos posted by other travelers, which belong to their accounts and not to yours.
• Records we need to handle a dispute or a safety matter.

Our privacy policy describes what we collect and how long we hold it.

What deletion is not the same as

• Signing out only removes the app’s saved copies on that phone, and your data stays with us.
• Uninstalling the app does the same thing, and your data stays with us.
• Archiving a trip only hides it in the app, and nothing is deleted.
• Cancelling a booking is handled separately by SXT Adventures and does not delete your data.

How it works

• You send the form below with the email address we have for you.
• We email you a verification link. It expires 15 minutes after we send it and it works only once. Nothing happens until you open it.
• Once you verify the request, SXT staff review it and carry out what the request covers.
• We email you at the address you verified when the request is complete. Deletion is not automatic, and we do not commit to a fixed deadline.

If you did not send a request and one arrives in your inbox, ignore it. A request that is not verified is not acted on.

Use the email address on your booking so we can find your records. Adding a note is optional and helps staff understand what you want removed.
