Savannah: Southern Charm in Georgia
Some trips are about slowing way down, and few places do slow as beautifully as Savannah. We spent a relaxed stretch in coastal Georgia, wandering the city's famous oak-shaded squares, soaking up the antebellum architecture, and eating our way through the Lowcountry, all at a pace set firmly to Southern time.
Day by day
Days 1-3
Historic Savannah
We based ourselves in the heart of Savannah, strolling its grid of moss-draped squares, admiring the grand old homes, and settling in for Lowcountry seafood and Southern hospitality as the evenings turned warm and golden.
Days 4-9
Coastal Georgia at its own pace
We ventured beyond the city into the quieter corners of coastal Georgia, trading sightseeing for porch time and easy days, the kind of unhurried Southern interlude that leaves you genuinely rested.
From the trip

Oak-shaded squares, antebellum grace, and the unhurried warmth of the Deep South. Savannah is a reminder that the right kind of slow is its own kind of adventure.
