New Orleans and a Western Caribbean Cruise
Some trips are pure, unapologetic fun, and few cities deliver that like New Orleans. We soaked up the Big Easy at its most festive, deep in Mardi Gras season, then rolled straight from the French Quarter onto a ship bound for the warm Western Caribbean.
Day by day
Days 1-2
The Big Easy
We dove into New Orleans headfirst: brass bands spilling out of French Quarter doorways, Creole and Cajun feasts, beignets and chicory coffee, and the sobering, brilliant National WWII Museum, all wrapped in the electric buzz of Mardi Gras season.
Days 3-7
Into the Western Caribbean
We embarked on a seven-day cruise out of the Mississippi, trading the city's energy for sun decks and warm water, with relaxed days at sea broken up by stops in the turquoise ports of the Western Caribbean.
Days 8-9
Back to port and home
We sailed back up the river to New Orleans tanned and content, with one last taste of the city before heading home.
From the trip

Jazz, Creole feasts, Mardi Gras magic and a sun-soaked Caribbean cruise. New Orleans knows how to start a party, and the Western Caribbean knows how to keep it going.
